Re: Hancock
SpoilerI'm nearly 100% certain she said he was an insurance policy of the gods and that he is there to keep mankind from basically destroying themselves. Obviously, not in those words. Perhaps I'm being forgetful."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Hancock
Spoileryeah, the "insurance policy" and "built in twos" (not to get too religious here) is what made me think they were supposed ot be angels, but eh who knows...Comment

Re: Hancock
Lol, yeah that scene was funny as hell. I thought the funniest was when he was like, "Ok, all you people, all you people blocking the intersections, you're all idiots." It really caught me by surprise.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Hancock
Saw it last night. First 2/3 of the movie was great. Didn't care for the final act, but I really have no clue how they could have finished any better than they did.
Not nearly as bad as early reviews though. I give it a 3/5 which could go up with a future viewing. I really liked the idea of the disgruntled super hero though. Though Will Smith was excellent in the part.Comment

Re: Hancock
I think less people would have been suprised by the end half of the movie if they would have been more revealing in thier previews...its like they just now started showing the long trailer on TV, letting you know its a little more deeper than a funny hero movie...Comment

Re: Hancock
But you're right. I didn't even know Charlize Theron was in the freaking movie until I saw it.
The previews don't really tell the whole story and that's good. But it will definitely disappoint or surprise anyone that was expecting a pure comedy.
It's why I said that the movie could have finished about 50 minutes into it. It had told the story. And I really thought it was going to end. Then it just kept going on and all of a sudden there's this huge reveal that changes everything."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Hancock
Saw it yesterday, i thought it was great. It had some funny moments and went for a deeper meaning towards the end ( it wasn't the best ending ever) but it did its job. Definitely happy i saw it. Will done it again, i see why they call him Mr. July nowComment
