First 3 seasons were great.

Now it's kind of ridiculous. It's still entertaining I guess, but its not a great show anymore, its more just mindless entertainment now.

I'd watch the first 3 seasons, after that I don't think your missing anything. And even at it's best it came in 3rd for FX shows for me behind Rescue Me and The Shield.

I agree the first three season were great TV. The storyline with The Carver was TV drama gold, IMO. But, the plot went down hill when they moved to L.A.

yeah i enjoyed the 1st 3 seasons but havent watched it since then. Havent really had alot of time and my sked changes alot. but i recommned watching the 1st 3 seasons.

First three seasons were absolutely amazing, some of my favorite TV ever. The Shield (as a whole series) probably recently passed those three as my favorite TV.

Nip/Tuck nosedived after season three, but the last season has gotten back to some better shows. When you talk about someone being born for a role, how about Julian McMahon's Christian Troy?

This show absolutely sucks now. It's gotten to the point where i cant bring myself to watch the last 9 episodes of the show. It's awful. Wednesday's episode might've been the worst of the entire series. The show peaked with the Carver and was very good-great until the 2nd half of season 5 and it's been a sharp drop off a cliff since then.

What makes Wednesday's episode so bad? To me it's interesting tv. Yes it's probably not as good as it used to be but this series was always trashy TV at it's best. Honestly I think people tend to romanticize older things in general. That whole "things were so much better back then" factor. But i'd like to hear your thoughts and see if you can do better than just saying it sucks now, used to be good.

Last weekend i watched season 1 and it was better written and the characters were stellar and different. There was a clear difference between Christian and Sean. Christian was hip and cool while Sean was dull and lame. The show was fresher and more interesting as well. Wednesday's show just stunk it was boring and predictable. I think from the onset everyone knew how it was going to go. You knew that when given the possibility of truth about someone else doing the crime that Matt would act like he always has and lie. You knew that Kimber would do what Christian wanted. You knew that sean would put his practice before his family. Why? Because this has been what always happens

Now i dont want unpredictability for unpredictabilities sake but this was just a bad hour of tv. Watching the older seasons on dvd and then the 2nd half of season 5 and this season it's night and day. The characters used to be interesting and have interesting cases and the show would have fascinating plots. Now? Not so much. The show peaked with the Carver storyline and carried that through the 1st half of season 5 in LA and since then its had a sharp drop in quality.

The writing has been really bad and the show put the medical aspects of it on the back burner in favor of more outlandish and sleazy plots, whereas before the show had a good balance. All the characters for the most part are miserable people and have had no growth, especially Sean and Christian. Theres no difference anymore Sean's not lame and Christian isnt cool they're both just miserable people.

The 1st 5 1/2 seasons are amazing, well written, and great to watch but since then its been pretty bad.

Liked the fat innocent guy storyline showing Matt taking another "low road". The pregnancy debacle might serve some future end, but wasn't entertaining. Overall not a bad episode.

The character "death" has been confirmed by the actor/actress. Melanie Griffith will play the mother.

Anyone else see the series finale last night? I thought it was nice closure for the show, especially the last shot of Christian at the bar with the Kimber look-a-like. I guess someone said that is exactly how Christian and Kimber met, right down to the dialogue. That's pretty cool IMO.

Yeah, I watched it. As I was watching it I felt a little bit disappointed. But, looking back today I guess it was a decent way to go out.

Same exact way I felt. I read someone on EW said "so the finale basically meant people can't change?!" but that's false, Christian changed. He may still be mostly the same but he realized that by his stubborn refusal to stay with Sean he was hurting him and he changed to avoid the same mistake as he made with Kimber happening with Sean.

In fact that's really what I liked best, and was surprised the most about, was the fact that of all characters the one that found redemption was Christian. He really seemed beyond redemption. I liked how Matt stayed in character and did the dumb, despicable and self-destroying thing, trading on his daughter for a chance with Ava.

I've heard some speculate a spin-off in the works with Ava and Matt but it may just be BS.
