Anybody else remember the old Street Wars Mixtapes that used to come out like every few months back in the early 00s?#RespectTheCultureComment

Yes, hosted by DJ P-Cutta out of either Baltimore or DC. Looks like he could make a comeback with that series soon.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
I'm assuming 'Ye ran out of ghostwritten verses from CyHi and kicked him to the curb. CyHi should get away from the petty stuff and concentrate on releasing content. His buzz is nearly dead, right now.Originally posted by ThatKidNamedTaeBelieve he got dropped

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Dre's album is out...
Man I'm only 3 songs in right now (4 including the intro) but the production on this is incredible. That shouldn't surprise anyone but wow, it's really good.
This man Dre must straight up DEMAND greatness on his tracks man. Snoop goes in, GAME GOES ABSOLUTELY HAM ON HIS TRACK I wasn't ready at all, this album is amazing.
THE SECOND THAT EMINEM STARTS...dear god
Finished it, trying to hold off the excitement just from Dre having released a solo album finally, I like it a lot. The hooks are the weakest part but that's not surprising to me. The features were great, Dre does a weird voice pitching thing for most of the album (not the last song), but the production on this is just amazing. Seriously, this is what music should be, just sonically. I think you guys know what I mean, Dre just engineers his **** to perfection.Last edited by DieHardYankee26; 08-07-2015, 08:34 AM.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
The verses he got from Kendrick, Em, Game and most surprisingly Snoop are amazing. The other guys I've never heard of also came with it as well.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Just started bumping the Compton album. The production on the very first track is ****ing ridiculous. Sounds like some aliens crafted it or something. Hopefully the whole thing rides out like this.Comment

If Nate Dogg was still alive them hooks would of been on point. That man had the juice for sure, dope album nonetheless.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
That's the word.
On the track, "Darkside/Gone" Lamar appears to take a subtle jab at his longtime nemesis Drake.
But still I got enemies giving me energy, I wanna fight now/ subliminally sent to me all of this hate Lamar raps.On "Deep Water" Lamar flips some of Drake's lyrics,
Mother****er know I started from the bottom /They liable to bury him, they nominated six to carry him/ They worrying him to death, but he's no vegetarian/ The beef is on his breath, inheriting the drama better than/ A great white, *****, this is life in my aquariumOriginally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

There's a lot of ways to go with that pick 4 thing, but I'd probably go Pac, Dre, Em and 50.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Gotta start with Em and Dre in my opinion, because Dre producing some Eminem songs is usually a hit. I think other than them you need one to do the hooks (Drake, maybe?) and another one to split up Em verses in my mind.Comment
