I still haven't listened to 808's and i am a Kanye fan. Is it worth tracking it down?

Ehhh, I don't know. Depends what type of music you're into. If you're just a straight hip-hop head then probably not but if you like other types of music or just a Kanye fan then yeah.

If you liked Amazing, Heartless, Love Lockdown, etc. then you'll probably like the album.

So more dance oriented stuff rather than straight rap bangers? I did hear it was one of the few hip hop albums released in the last few decades to not have a parental advisory sticker so he must have toned down the language a fair bit for that one.

Well I wouldn't say it's really dance oriented either. It's not a bad album, just different.

If you enjoyed 808's then check out the new The Dream album. Best album of the year in my opinion.

The Dream album is decent, I've listened to it a couple times now. What is funny to me with this album is you kinda feel bad for dude cause he's really trying to sing but can't and you can hear it. On the first album he admitted that he couldn't sing and didn't hide that fact, nonetheless, it's still a good listen.

agreed...i just dont get "it". swore that cat was a one and done, but the masses have obviously spoken on it. i wont take his production from him, but as an artist....

as far as Kanye 808s...imo its a pass. i guess ill just never get that college dropout feeling ever again from him. i rode with this cat from the very first time i saw that thru the wire video. the 2nd album was a slight dissapptment. 808s is ok kanye, i give up...do u

on another note, can anyone guide me to some good albums i may have passed on since 08? i kinda gave up on music as a whole. i knew i had officially gave up when i only listened to talk stations on sirius as i didnt even care to hear what new music was bout to blow up. lemme know. on my list is big boi july 6 and im tracking down that 2nd lupe fiasco i never did get.

Toomp has 4 tracks! LOL. Talking real good about the album too. Kanye albums are always first day purchases for me.

For the record 808s was his worst album, but it isn't bad by any means. Actually, it was a pleasant escape for me.

                                It's just behind Recovery IMO.
