Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Yeah I'm late but I can't stop listening to Words I never Said. I love the lyrics.
I just bought Talib Kweli's latest Album, Gutter Rainbows. Solid so far.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Why is it puzzling? Run DMC, Nas, Biggie, AZ, Public Enemy, Gang Starr, Jeru, Jay Z, Mase, Big L, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, DMX, Masta Ace, Mobb Deep, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, Wu Tang. Even Tupac is from New York.
It's kind of hard to look at that list and say that New York isn't the home of Hip Hop. I think Scarface and Ice Cube are the only two non new york/east coast artists that are on almost every list of Top 10 MC's.
Maybe I'm just looking at your statement in a different light and taking it way out of context?PSN: DoubleLGetsBusy

Haha I know what you mean I had around 10 Saints raps/songs on constant repeat for most of the playoffs last year, pretty bad idea when I think of it was too pumped up to get anything done lolSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
It's puzzing because it sounds like you're trying to convince someone that New York is the home of Hip Hop. I mean the whole culture was birthed here...how could it not be the home of Hip Hop?

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
I don't have a problem if it sounds as good as Words I Never Said.
Oh, and apparently Matthew Santos took a slight jab at Lupe on Facebook or something.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

J. Cole interview with Sway

Nothing really noteworthy here, but as a fan I enjoyed the interview. He does drop a nice freestyle at the end though.
He's still being tight-lipped about the damn album, but my thinking is that once Watch The Throne comes out and the hype dies down for that (supposed to be coming March 1st, I think), then they'll start pushing Cole's album. So I'm gonna guess it's coming within May-July. I doubt it comes out April because apparently that's when Carter IV is coming out.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
He isn't to me (obviously). He puts a lot of thought into his answers and is a pretty smart dude.
Looks like it. This first half of the year should be pretty awesome when it comes to new albums.
I still can't believe we've gotten this close to Detox coming out. I'm just waiting for Dre to pull the plug at the last minute and say "**** it. It's not coming out."Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.
