Just went and dropped $10 to support J. Cole. For me, I gotta get behind someone that's real. I can definitely relate to his music and I feel like we're all running the same race: trying to realize our dreams and provide for our families.

And yeah, AZ is a beast! Good look right there.

I don't know how / why but I missed Travis Barkers solo album Can a Drummer Get Some when it was released and finally listened to it yesterday. Just about the whole album is fire, some really nice beats!!! I was missing out!

I know Lil Wayne is a bit of joke these days and rightly so but I went back and listened to first Carter album for the first time in a long time yesterday and there are some really great tracks on that album. Kinda sad to see what he has become some of those tracks and some on Carter II are really damn good....

Pretty much what you said is why he is now viewed as a joke (for the mosts part anyway). The first two Carters were alright. Now he is a shell of his former self.

Big day for NC. Cole, Phonte and 9th all "officially" drop today. Probably get my hands on the latter to later on today. Though 9th's LP is the one i've been wanting the most.

Haven't heard about this. I'm really shocked at no Slaughter/Shady confirmations.

As far as Cole goes, I'll look at it when I get back to Chicago. I heard his first mixtape and while it was solid, I didn't get all the hype or feel he was the next great rapper, like many here. When I heard comparisons to Lupe I got super-excited, but honestly he fell very short of those expectations. I'm really hoping this LP is great. It probably will be since now my expectations are really low, whereas before they were really high.

I wanna know who these fools were that compared J. Cole to Lupe though.
