People can like Lil B all they want, I mean I like stuff most people on here won't (Sean P.,The Roots, Papoose, Action Bronson etc.) But acting like his **** is the greatest **** ever? Nah. Not cosigning that.

Hip hop is regional as hell though anyway.

Or do people like him because he's different(Even though technically he's not)? Basically, if I was a newbie to the Hip Hop Scene and never listened to anyone else prior, why would you recommend me to give him a chance?

                Serious question BTW.

I'm not going to get into the discussion about what makes Lil B so great. Most people here have their minds set, they don't want to like him.

Hmm? Maybe you took it the wrong way.

I'm sure you all already read my opinion on this guy, many times in this thread. I gave my opinion on what makes him a good artist.

To answer your question Pack, I'm not sure if I'll even recommend him to a newbie TBH. I'll rather point a newbie towards the 90's era. Then Wale. Lil B's lyrics are nice imo and so are his beats. His flow isn't the greatest, but he's a breath of fresh air. He's not as bad as a lot of people say he is.

What makes him a "breath of fresh air?" I admittedly don't keep as good of tabs on current rap as I used to and I haven't listened to anything of Lil B's since he first hit. To me, it all seemed like a big joke that wasn't funny or clever.
