Wasn't it just a year ago that Atlantic Records was the Devil to him because of the whole deal with LASERS and them?

Atlantic Records should have held on to LASERS and never released that ****.

Biggest disappointment, my expectations were very high for that album. F&L and The Cool are classics.

        LASERS was.... well...

From what I remember reading, I believe he's thanking them for helping it become a reality because, unlike Lasers, they're letting him dictate the albums contents.

After a blogger called Lupe out on Lasers being trash, he went on a Twitter rant...
            Spoiler

He's completely full of **** about the part in bold. Sounds like he gained a little success and changed his tone real quick.

To comment on Lupe (BIG fan here, been following him since I heard Tilted on NBA Live 06):

First, LASERS was a good album to me. Songs were somewhat hit or miss - either you get a feel for em or you don't. That being said, Lupe said he didn't like the process of recording the album. I think he said many times songs he really wanted to put on the album were denied because of Atlantic's desire to increase his mainstream appeal and fanbase. So even though he may be happy with the songs, the process he didn't like.

On FNL2 - I think he was just shouting them out for giving him the freedom to give the core fans what they want. We've been asking for this for a while now, and LASERS was supposed to be that. I think that's where the disconnect (for lack of a better word) lies for some people: LASERS just seems sort of random (again, for lack of a better word lol). Completely different than the Cool and FnL.

I'm just hoping that FnL2 is like FnL - an album with amazing creativity and a really nice flow. No autotune, no BS. Features, I wouldn't care about as long as they work within Lupe's true style. But FnL is a true timeless classic - it's been 5 and a half years and it's still going strong on my iPod - and I want FnL2 to continue that trend.

Also, being in Chicago, I just want to throw this out there...

Ok, so there's this guy who's kind of popular I guess, and I've heard him, and honestly he's worse than Lil B. In fact, he may be one of the worst rappers I've ever heard in my life. His name's Chief Keef...if you want to search a song, you can. I can post one if it's allowed lol (all of them are most likely NSFW).

But that dude is HORRIBLE. Reason the Chicago hip-hop scene (and music scene in general) has become relatively nonexistant. We shouldn't still be hanging our hats on Twista and R. Kelly. We have Lupe (and Kanye, I guess) but after that, who?
