Not if Pete Rock gave his blessings and knew about it before hand. Pete Rock made it sound like all of this was done without him knowing. If what Lupe is saying is true, that isn't the case at all.

I was reading about other artists not working with Pete Rock anymore because of reasons similar to this.

Their have been numoruos stories of Pete's flakiness over the years.....maybe he caught feellings because his family is involved???

EDIT: I just read what Pete actually said....extremely foul in my book. I could see if it was HIS work and not a sample but to crap on someone for using the same joint you did is just grimey yo.
