In regards to Curren$y, I used to be in the same boat as well. Couldn't see what all the hype was about him and hearing posters like Jukeman and Aerobee(I think)hype him up and then I decided to finally check him out. Went from hearing 1 song to 2 songs to 4 songs to an entire mixtape and then getting his recent album.

Things would be different if Biggaveli never get locked up. French would still be in his shadow, Max would have probably signed with G-Unit since he has a connection with 50, Jim Jones would probably still be relevant, probably would have beef with Prodigy still or other rappers.

With Currren$y, that how it was for me. For me to like a artist I never was on to, they would have to do very well(ever better) on a collab. I just dont listen to someone because "he is hot". I would have to hear him on a collab with someone I do listen to. That is how it was. I think it was a Wiz track, I think it was on How Fly(maybe). 1st tape I think I started listening to of his was one of his 1st DJ Drama tape. I think it was Verde Terrace(Really liked that tape). I liked Weekend at Burnies, and another tape.

But, he does need to do a FULL(10-15 track) mixtape with Harry Fraud. I would pay for that.

With French, I prefer the older French Montana before Max B got locked up. Now he is more of a "Club Banger" artist. Like you said, when I listen to his song, I look for the beat. He was never a lyricist, but with Max, it was less "club banger" music.

yea i miss the old french. i been riding with french since he 1st hooked up with max. i swear i cringed when diddy got involved and i wish he woulda just stayed underground. but i know he needed a way to come up with more money to take care of the whole coke boys movement. still makes me mad to see diddy shining like he had anything to do with finding french and him blowing up when his biggest single was out and hot almost a yr before diddy came along and remixed it....sigh

max aint never getting out unfortunately. they denied that appeal like a month or so ago. i been on max since the beginning so i got pretty much every bit of material he put out so im good with that. i can only imagine what he'd have put out tho. im sure we'd have another 10 fire mixtapes since 2010.

yea once i got into spitta and saw he had so much material out like max, i jumped to go get it all and start from the beginning and come forward. after that i crowned spitta as my 2nd fav rapper after max. and go figure he admitted he got his work ethic from watching max do his thing and is also a big fan of max.

i operate the same way u do. thats how i got on to french only cuz he was with max and i was with max since the beginning with jim. i never wouldve gave french any listen had it not been for max. kinda how i liked wiz, who lead me to curren$y cuz of how fly. i actually like curren$y way better than wiz now. and also how i like chevy woods...but only cuz he with wiz. and i actually like chevy better than wiz too. dang wiz keep losing haha

yea curren$y def need to get back with fraud. he said theres supposed to be a cigarette boats 2 tho when the 1st one dropped so im sure we'll get that soon enough. not to take away NOTHING from fraud cuz hes way too dope a producer...but its funny how most ppl dissing french and riding fraud now wouldnt even know him for prolly another 1-2yrs from now if it wasnt for french making him hot in the streets from '07-'10 and getting him known to all these other artist. most ppl dont even know fraud was basically french's 2nd choice producer if dame grease was busy or outta beats. cool as hell watching him grow as a producer tho. def one of the hottest out.

It is one thing to not stay underground, he went mainstream. That is the thing having a "movement". It is good to help your boys, but at times you gotta worry about yourself. Especially when your not recognized as one of the top guys.

There probably couldve been a Max B & Curren$y tape. That ish wouldve been hot. Spitta said Max inspired him. That is why I like Spitta. He put out a album in June, Cigarette Boat in July, finished "Live in Concert in August"(even though never came out). A lot of rappers takes vacations after albums.

Same thing. From Jay Z to Cam'ron to Jim Jones to Max B to French. If I think about it, I wouldnt have liked Max without Jim. That is how it is for me. I didnt really know about Kendrick, until he was on Game Album.

Basically just saying how artists like French Montana are automatically disliked on here, but most posters praise guys like J. Cole.

Seems to always be all or nothing. Can't enjoy types of rap music. Very closed minded opinions.
