    Idk, I can dig it.

Obviously it's not for everyone, but people have to get out of this thinking that people that rap, can only make rap music.

I enjoy the singing rappers has been singing on hooks for years(50 Cent,Ja Rule). It's just Drake can't sing he sits on the same melodies every time. Here's an example of a Drake singing verse "Oh baby where you going Ooooooh Wooooo Hoooooo Yeah Yeah oh yeah"

        I agree with this.

I feel like if this was released by a traditional R&B artist or a non-rapper then it wouldn't get a negative reaction. I think the same could be said for something like Kanye's 808s & Heartbreak as well, but because we label them as "rappers", then it's almost like they have to be held to only one sound or style of music, which I kind of disagree with.

Obviously older heads won't accept that line of thinking and I get that, but like it or not that's just how things have changed these days. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing, I don't really know, but I can respect artists attempting to branch out and try different things.

That had absolutely nothing to do with it. I just wasn't feeling the song hence the gif summed up my feelings perfectly.

No. The song was meh. The beat had nothing going for it. Had nothing to do with Drake singing on it.

Also, since when can we not dislike a song simply because we felt the song sucked?

Why are we making everyone out to have an agenda against said artist? That's tiring to say the least.

Wasn't pointing to anyone in particular, in fact it was more a general response to Blue putting that disclaimer and me thinking knowing that people would hate on it because it's a pop song. I mean would we need to put a disclaimer on a song where Trey Songz was rapping? No probably not.

If that's why you don't like it, then that's fine with me. I couldn't care less.

Singing and Harmonizing are two very different things.

But Q still hasn't given a tracklist for Oxymoron and it's not available for pre-order so if I buy it now I'd have to buy the single and then I wouldn't be able to get the credit for already paying for that song when I go buy the album. So now I have to wait for Q to give a tracklist, and that could be the day before the album comes out at this point, as we still don't know when the album is even coming out. Blown.
I feel you on this and wanting to support the artist but I would just try my best to wait it out a bit so you can spend your money at one time wisely. Sometimes I get excited and jump the gun and start buying things but just use your best judgement.

Thinking they can only make rap music or thinking they couldn't/shouldn't do anything outside of Rap AND R&B because there is a difference.

I feel like if this was released by a traditional R&B artist or a non-rapper then it wouldn't get a negative reaction. I think the same could be said for something like Kanye's 808s & Heartbreak as well,
First part, I don't know about all that now. But then again that's all on what the person think Drake is as far as being either a Rapper or an R&B Artist that knows how to rap. So far, I don't see people saying they don't like it because it's a "pop song".

2nd part, people couldn't stand that album because at the time, people hated the whole Autotune ****. Had nothing to do with just simply being different because if you think about it, up to that album, he was already considered "different"(by Rap's standards).

but because we label them as "rappers", then it's almost like they have to be held to only one sound or style of music
                    This isn't really true.

This card needs to seriously be burned and thrown in the trash.

I think the negative reaction comes from the fact that that mutha****a can't sing but continues to do so despite the fact that, like I said earlier, he's a mutha****a who can't sing. The same thing can be said about Kanye because, while Drake is just a tone deaf guy who occasionally stumbles onto the right note, Kanye just said "**** notes, just autotune that ****" and put out a terrible album.

I know the difference he does neither well. When he tries to "sing" he can't hold the note it's the same tune harmonize every time.I heard other rappers do it better which is my opinion.

Hell Bino "Be Alone" song is probably some of the best overall work I heard from a rapper going down that lane. It's cool when he mixes it in while he's rapping but a full blown song I'll pass.

Thinking they shouldn't, that it makes them soft or whatever the stigma is now.

Yes that is your opinion and it appears you don't know the difference but whatever, not worth an argument. If you don't like him, you don't like him. I'm certainly not going to change your mind.
