Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Wrekonize of the Strange Music group ¡MAYDAY! dropped his "Rooftops" Mixtape earlier today. Definitely worth a listen if you enjoyed the group's previous projects! Available for FREE download or stream.
Him and Rittz snapped on that Leo Getz track!

Let see had a good amount of free time this week so I was able to get a good amount of stuff out the way.
Was surprised by the new juelz mixtape since I ain't really heard much from the dude since high school and got to say he still got that gimmicky sound but still put out a solid mixtape. The other new mixtape I got to was the ivyleague kickback, and while it took a step back from the last mixtape the song with childish gambino was worth the playthru.
Also for some odd reason I kind took a break from rap music the 6 months Charles Hamilton was relevent so I download 2 Charles Hamilton mixtape, and honestly I really only heard his song MTV cribs and the diss rhymefest did over the old supersonic beat. So Im not really sure why so many people hate the dude, but the two mixtapes were pretty soild. The last artist I got around to this week was macklemore I heard about the dude a month ago, but just got around to hearing the album and it was better then I expected (since I was going in thinking every song was going to be like thrift shop).
Other than that I'm just waiting for this Joe Budden album to drop.

Never hard of Akala before, but I'm definitely going to give him a listen. Have a feeling he'll be one of my favorite artists as long as his songs match the themes he rapped about on here.Last edited by Jdoug312; 02-01-2013, 09:52 AM.Comment

Damn, I thought Macklemore might blow up when The Heist came out, but not to this extent. #1 song in the country, on Letterman, song featured ESPN Basketball College Gameday and now I just saw that his song "Wing$" is going to be featured for the NBA All-Star Game:

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
He blow up because of that "Thrift Store" song? I think that song is particularly corny.
It's unfortunate that Eighty4 Fly didn't blow up out of Seattle first.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles
