Also, I don't know where I was in 2010 when MBDTF dropped, but So Appalled is my favorite song by a lot right now. Like I just replay for like an hour I like it so much. Kanye, Jay-Z, and Pusha T on a RZA beat is like a prayer being answered.
I'm not a fan of Jay-Z, but he absolutely merked that song. Too too many qoutables

Cyhi killed it as well. Hell, everyone merked it

As a matter of fact.....*goes off to listen to it on youtube*

Swizz ruins that song for me.

Anyways, I just heard this new Nelly song on the radio. Holy **** did that guy sell out.

Why'd Kendrick have to do my man Jay like that with his last verse on the Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe remix.

On the topic of Kendrick Lamar. Some of his fans are some of the most annoying folks walking on the planet. You'd think he was the best to ever do it the way they praise him.

You can say that about any rapper. There are always going to be stans.

That said, at least they are little closer to the truth than say people that praise the likes of Chief Keef/Lil B/Wayne etc.

I hear what you're saying. My point is more about fans who were first exposed to him because of his album praising him to the extent that they do. His body of work isn't even in the same class as Lil Wayne. I just feel some people need to slow down before proclaiming him the best.

Oh I definitely agree. People are always so quick to want to find the next "greatest" anything. Not just rappers.

That said, if Kendrick continues with the direction he is headed now with what he's put out so far, he could definitely propel himself to that upper echelon of greats.

Yep although I blame part of that on the microwave society and the fact that people want to hurry up and find the next big thing in Hip Hop(think next Jay or Biggie or Nas, even though most logical hip hop fans know there will never be another).

I thought Cyhi's verse on I'm So Appalled was boring. Nearly put me to sleep after hearing everyone else.

Now his verse on "Rise" that was on Self Made Vol. 1 - Now that was something.

True, but he's better than Jay. Aren't you always proclaiming him the GOAT?

                          Just my opinion of course.

I don't know why, but I decided to listen to Trap Back 2 while I was playing The Show yesterday, and I love this song.

I don't think it's fair to either artist to compare them. The body of work between the two is night & day. Is Kendrick Lamar making better music today, yes, but let's wait to see the level of consistency Kendrick Lamar can continue to have in years to come.
I'm not trying to take anything away from Kendrick because I think he's very talented. But we've all seen how fast an artist in any genre can fail to continue to put out quality music over a long period of time.
