Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Why'd Kendrick have to do my man Jay like that with his last verse on the Bitch, Don't Kill My Vibe remix.
On the topic of Kendrick Lamar. Some of his fans are some of the most annoying folks walking on the planet. You'd think he was the best to ever do it the way they praise him.Last edited by areobee401; 03-18-2013, 12:44 PM.Comment

That said, at least they are little closer to the truth than say people that praise the likes of Chief Keef/Lil B/Wayne etc.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
I hear what you're saying. My point is more about fans who were first exposed to him because of his album praising him to the extent that they do. His body of work isn't even in the same class as Lil Wayne. I just feel some people need to slow down before proclaiming him the best.Comment

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread
Oh I definitely agree. People are always so quick to want to find the next "greatest" anything. Not just rappers.
That said, if Kendrick continues with the direction he is headed now with what he's put out so far, he could definitely propel himself to that upper echelon of greats.Cubs | Bulls | Dolphins | 'Noles

I'm not a fan of Jay-Z, but he absolutely merked that song. Too too many qoutables
Cyhi killed it as well. Hell, everyone merked it
Now his verse on "Rise" that was on Self Made Vol. 1 - Now that was something.#RespectTheCultureComment

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Or Odd Future fans.
I don't know why, but I decided to listen to Trap Back 2 while I was playing The Show yesterday, and I love this song.

I don't think it's fair to either artist to compare them. The body of work between the two is night & day. Is Kendrick Lamar making better music today, yes, but let's wait to see the level of consistency Kendrick Lamar can continue to have in years to come.
I'm not trying to take anything away from Kendrick because I think he's very talented. But we've all seen how fast an artist in any genre can fail to continue to put out quality music over a long period of time.
