Post Blueprint 2 Jay-Z is boring, there I said it. Praise Reasonable Doubt, not this boring-average, Jay that we see today.

Lol @ "there I said it". Homie, what you said isn't exactly breaking news or anything most don't already know/believe. Hell, I'd say anything after Blueprint 1 is average...but that's a whole different discussion right there.

That being said, Aerobee is right in that it's still too early to even compare the two at this point.

On the topic of Kendrick Lamar. Some of his fans are some of the most annoying folks walking on the planet. You'd think he was the best to ever do it the way they praise him.
          Because he is....

I'm not trying to take anything away from Kendrick because I think he's very talented. But we've all seen how fast an artist in any genre can fail to continue to put out quality music over a long period of time.

          EP, OD, S80, GKMC....I'd say that's consistency.

He's still being praised though, as if everything he drops is fire. I could have sworn some of y'all on here say he's the GOAT. Maybe I must've missed something.

At least most of y'all share the same views as I do, on Jay that is, haha

I'm going to catch feelings right here, and just say that it's fans of any artist. Every artist has that certain level of fans that will praise their favorite artist and just about anything musically related to them.

I'm a big jay fan not going to even debate I'm not, but the thing is I don't understand is why when someone been in the game for so long people get mad for him changing his style every 4/5 years. Since to me if jay stayed the same since 96 dude would not be relevant same with if he stayed being 01 or 04 jay. Seem like the problem with these long term artists is the artiat try to grow with the changes in the music while the fans just want a ditto of what they consider their great tracks.

Just like you and your boy Fly praise everything that Lil B drops as if he is the GOAT. Funny how that works but hey, maybe I missed something.

Re: Official Hip Hop/Rap Music Thread

In a minute-long album trailer, D.C. rapper Wale revealed both the release date and title for his third studio album. Titled The Gifted, the album is currently set for a June 25th release date.
In the album trailer, which comes courtesy of director Chad Tennies, Wale possibly hints at the themes his new album may tackle as he briefly speaks on the music industry and being a hustler.
“The hustler, priding his self on the very things they hate him for…The gifted. Aren’t we all? I said, aren’t we all,” Wale questions at the end of The Gifted trailer.
The Maybach Music Group emcee previously commented on his third studio album during an interview with HipHopSince1987.com and shared that the project would be greatly similar to his earlier work.
“I'm very excited about the music, because it's very reminiscent of my earlier work with Mark Ronson and things of that nature. I'm excited,” said Wale in an October interview.
Wale’s last studio album, Ambition, was released in November 2011 and featured appearances from Kid Cudi, Miguel, Rick Ross, and more.
