For a second, I thought the dude in the background next to the lightskin chick was my Pops because he looks exactly like him.

Alright so I'm a bit confused here. All signs point to Wolf coming before Bastard, except that Sam kills Earl in Wolf and Earl makes an appearance on Bastard.

So that would seem like the order was Bastard -> Wolf -> Goblin, but at the end of Wolf, it seems that Tyler meets TC for the first time.

I did hear an interesting theory though that said perhaps Goblin takes place in an insane asylum (I assumed it was a therapist's office this whole time), and Tyler is telling the story, but not in it's exact order.

        Kinda long read:
        Spoiler

Anyway, this is a really awesome concept. What are you guy's favorite concept album/series? This is the only one I can think of off the top, so it's definitely this series (or Goblin if we're just talking about 1 album) for me.

The Complex list was actually pretty interesting until around 2007.

That Complex list was pretty good until I saw Drake win rapper of the year back to back. This is partially due to my dislike for the dude's music but also because there were other rappers that were simply better. One thing that I hate about all these lists is they almost always go with the popular and safe picks. I don't care if you didn't know who Kendrick Lamar was back in 2011 but he delivered my favorite album of that year in section 80 and had plenty of outstanding guest verses on Q's Ab-Soul's and Jay Rock's projects. Kendrick even stole the show on Drake's own album. Same goes for guys like Nas, Killer Mike in 2011 and 2012 and Royce da 5'9 in '11. Life is good had maybe 4 skip-able tracks at the most and also showed that Nas could still bring it. He also bodied Ross on Triple Beam Dreams and brought some of that Illmatic feel back. Killer Mike dropped a mixtape and an album in 2011 that were both excellent and showcased his lyricism. R.A.P. Music was one of my favorite albums of 2012 and songs like Big Beast and Reagan top anything that Drake put out or was featured on. Royce released his solo album and Hell: the sequel with Em in 2011. Both of those projects were top notch and songs like Fast Lane, The Reunion, Legendary and Writer's Block were just on another level. I could go on forever with lesser known or not as "hot" artists who were on their game that didn't receive any attention but I'll stop here.
This wasn't meant to be an obliterate Drake post but I just couldn't stand Complex's reasoning and wording used when they crowned the guy. The comparison to LeBron which I can kind of see (although a comparison to a guy like Josh smith is more like it) but statements like the following made me want to pull my hair out. "Even in an off year, Drake was on one. Take Care dropped late in 2011, so Drizzy was able to ride excellent singles like "HYFR," "Take Care," and "The Motto" in 2012 which made him a consensus pick for Best Rapper Alive honors by themselves." While I don't mind those songs, it's hardly criteria for somebody to be called best rapper alive. I really hope people aren't so simple-minded that they're actually buying into the junk Complex was spewing. I generally like Complex's lists but this was just too much for me this time. All the other years pretty much had a guy that you could legitimately argue was the best for that year, so no complaints from me there. Wow, that felt good to get off my chest lol.

Every list is subjective and most of the time based completely off of other lists already made. I usually just ignore the "best ever" talk.

Goodie Mob's "Age Against the Machine" set to release in June.

After numerous delays and at least one album title change, Goodie Mob has revealed when they will drop their fifth studio album, and fourth with a completely reunited group. Fuse.TV has reported that Age Against The Machine will release on June 18, after speaking with founding member Cee Lo Green's manager.

For a lot of people "best rapper" and "most popular rapper" are interchangeable. Whether you agree or disagree (obviously most people in here will disagree), it is what it is.
