I was originally going to get the LG Dare, however I have heard nothing but great things about BlackBerry phones. My dad and sister have one, and so does my best friend. So I decided to go with the Pearl. Got for $99 out the door. So far I am very happy with it. Its a pretty amazing piece of equipment. If anyone is on the fence about whether or not to go with a BlackBerry, Do it.

If I don't get the LG Vu or Motorola Z9 then I'm defiantly getting the Pearl, I want the gold one, just cause it's so damned flashy.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

I have the Blackberry Curve and I love it. There are so many programs you can load on to a Blackberry. My curve has a small keyboard since its a full QWERTY keyboard and it took me a few weeks to master it but it's nice to have when you adjust.
Blackberry phones are definitely nice, but so many people are getting them now so if you want to be "unique" it might not be the best choice.

Yeah I just upgraded from my Pearl. Did get alot of compliments when I had it though.
IMO, the keyboard is as easy to use as a full QWERTY. There are only 2 letters on each key so the phone pretty much knows what you're trying to type if you use SureType.Xbox 360 GamertagRAW 910

This was the other phone I was looking at before I got the LG Dare. The only reason I did not get the Pearl was that I had to pay $20 or $40 more per month for Blackberry service. With the Dare, I only had to pay my typical monthly rate. Of course that does not include any additional charges I'd rack up for surfing the web (which I almost never do...maybe at a Steelers game following my FF team or in an absolute emergency).Comment

I really like it. It took a bit to get adjusted to the scrolling up/down with the touch screen, but now it's second nature. You have to press on the screen and then kind of flick up/down. There is literally nothing I don't like about the Dare - it's light/thin and fits easily in a pants pocket, call quality is excellent, feature list is very good, battery life has been good etc... The biggest negative I can say is that the screen is hard to see when in direct sun light (of course this will happen with most screens similar to the Dare).Comment
