    I-Pod Transfer

Im sure this has been discussed but I couldn't find it. I found some info on google but thought I would ask you guys before I did anyhting.

So I have an I-Pod that was linked to my old computer. It crashed and all my files were erased. I now have a new computer that I would like to use as my Ipod computer but alas, apple doesnt like that idea. They want me to erase everything off the IPOD before they allow it to sync to the new computer.

So, does anyone know of the best way to get what i currently have on my ipod now to my new computer?

If its free and virus free that would be great as well

I'm interested in hearing as well...I've been put in charge of getting my girlfriend's songs off her iPod and onto her new vista laptop so she can sync on there (she lost the original mp3's, ugh)...
