    Re: Terminator Salvation

I'd give it a 7 or 7.5 on a 10 point scale. It was a good flick and I'll probably pick it up on blu-ray when it comes out to go along side T1 and T2, but like others have said its lite on the story. Marcus is by far the most compelling part story-wise and I thought McG wasted a couple of opportunities story-line wise with Marcus and JC. Overall good film, though. Moon Bloodgood = goddess. I'm assuming there's at least one more film coming, but I don't feel like this film did a good job of setting up any future sequels.

          Re: Terminator Salvation

I'm seeing the flick on Friday night but I recently heard that they cut around 30 minutes of footage completely out of the film to keep the rating at PG-13 and reduce the run time. Damn you MPAA and ADD audiences. I hope the uncut version comes out on DVD.

Don't feel like writing too much right now because it is late but a major disappointment for me.

I don't get why people complain about the story so much, the Terminator stories have never made much sense at all.

Dude, you complain more than anyone on these boards. If people want to complain, let them complain. Their buck.

I didn't say that they couldn't I just don't get why someone would go into a Terminator movie expecting an amazing story. The series has never had that.

I thought it was awesome. I don't know why, but the funniest part to me was when John Connor just screamed at the little girl "You ... RUN!" I don't know why I found that so damn funny.

But it was solid and didn't have so many loop holes as this one. Plus each had a purpose. This one really didn't.

i dunno, there were some major loopholes in the earlier Terminators. Granted, it's a parody piece, but it does bring up valid points about the inconsistencies of the movie and TV franchise.

With the release of Terminator Salvation (aka Terminator With Batman and Transformers!) we'd like to take a closer look at the franchise that has explored such pressing issues as our dependence on machines, what it means to be human and how utterly incredible

but then again, i don't watch these movies for anything else but cool action and one-liners.

I haven't read that yet but the whole series is a giant plot hole. The two major characters (John Connor and Skynet) created themselves.
