Comcast Problems

I was curious if any of you have Comcast. When I type in the IP adress into the adress bar, I get into the Comcast Configuration setup. Than I go to Port Forwarding to set up my slingbox.

I enter in the slingbox for application name, than the port number, and than my IP adress..and I hit enable.

The problem is when I hit apply...It never saves what I put in. Does anyone know whats going on?

My slingbox cant find my router so I can view remotely (anywhere I want) even though they have my option for router..yet when it searches it doesnt find it. (Linksys WC200)

Any help is much appreciated.

This will let you know if it can connect to the slingbox server.


You need to type in your Slingbox ip in the router for port forwarding, not your computer ip or the internet ip. Should be something like 192.168.1.100, look at the device list on your router and Slingbox should be listed. Its good to create a static ip for the slingbox if you can as it will maintain the same ip on your router even if it gets disconnected and you won't need to change the ip to forward too.

some thing happened to the link, replace the ?s with your slingbox id

if it shows up there, then something is stopping it on your network side
