I didn't read the whole thread here, I know a lot of people weren't happy with the premiere, but I though it was friken great, and am very excited to see what what the season brings.

My dumb question for the week.

Why is everyone using spoiler tags?

Not to sound mean but this a thread about the show and if you haven't watched it yet, you shouldn't click on it because people will be talking about what they have seen.


But back on topic, I thought it was an incredible 2 hours! They have a lot of ways that they can go with the storylines. Some people might think that some things don't make sense, but why explain everything in the first show.
Then you would have no reason to watch the rest of the season.

Initially you do it for the people on the West Coast for whom the show has yet to air. I don't understand doing it after that night though. If you didn't watch it, you shouldn't be in a discussion thread about it, unless you don't mind the spoilers.

The more I think about it, the more I like with where this could go.


I'm still bothered by how Suresh acted, though. They change his character's behavior way too much.

I use the spoiler tags more out of habit than need.

There are some characters that are up for elimination this season. And what is the point to having Maya there, if she is just going to whine about her powers and not use them? I mean, she's hot, but who cares about her story or anything?

I really think they could kill Micah right now and I wouldn't care. Same goes for the cousin and Suresh.

Maya was smokin in the first two episodes. Like, holy **** hot.

My take on other characters:

-Kill off Micah and whatever his cousin's name was. Both are wastes.

-Nikki/Jessica/Tracy needs to be developed. SHe keeps changing, we keep getting glimpses, but we just don't know enough about her, or her powers, to really make a judgment call on her. I'm glad they didn't kill her off (if only for the scene with her walking out in the lingerie..holy) because I want some explanation about her powers.

-Hiro...I've never been a fan but if they finally make him become the "badass" we've seen Future Hiro is, I may change my mind. Right now, his whole "quest/save the world" gig is boring.

-Nathan...I hate the whole religious aspect of his new character, but the Linderman angle is entertaining and should be interesting.

-Claire...annoying, but hot and obviously a major character.

-Suresh...I want to see where this whole "power hungry" angle goes, but after that you could probably kill him off and I wouldn't care. Sorry to say he won't be dying anytime soon, though, I'm sure.

-Parkman...I can't wait to see where this Africa storyline goes.

-Peter...once he is "set free" and can go on a Hero rampage, it will be amazing.

-Sylar...best character on the show.

-New villains: Marlo is going to be one of my favorite characters on the show, the Flamethrower is going to be badass if he keeps killing people, Jesse and the German could both be cool as well.

Think that's just about it.

I think they changed it a little (before the shot) but you have to account for how the shot and powers affected him. It didn't just give him great strength but also affected his mind and everything about him. He was like a guy on a super steroid binge or something. I think his experiment on himself will be deemed a huge failure and a reason the world wants to keep the formula a secret.

Did not like the premire much at all, but some of the storylines are interesting so I'll keep watching for now.

As a west coast guy I'm cool with guys not putting spoiler tags, its the person fault for going in here while the show is going on else where.

Does anyone know if there going to do those special episodes during the holiday season when the show takes break? I remember big name directors doing an episode each?

Agreed. You're asking for it if you live on the West Coast/Mountain zones and click on the Heroes post on a Monday evening. IMO, the only spoilers tags we should have to worry about are leaks, previews, and things like that. Those should be up to each of us to decide if we want to know ahead of time.
