Avatar: Count down to Sozen's Comet

I feel as if the movie needs a thread of its own. I missed it when they debuted it on television Saturday due to being at work. However i found a torrent for it online and watched it. I have to say it was awesome.

I've watched the show since it first premiered. People don't seem to notice it, but it was way beyond the cartoons on both Cartoon network and Nickelodeon. It did more than any cartoon did to captivate its audience. It had a great story and some killer combat. I'm glad the producers were able to get the show on Nick and keep the style instead of dumbing it down.

About the movie itself, i have to say i was impressed. The last fight was epic, almost on the same level as Goku vs Frieza (for DBZ Fans). The pacing was good as well.

Rumors are flying around that their might be a live action movie. The last i heard, M Night was very interested in the show, he says he loves it and would like to make it into a movie. Not sure if hes doing it, but a live action one done right would be great.

I'm not sure, but i kept hearing that people didn't like the English voices, but i felt they were just right. Couldn't imagine the characters with any other voice.

About the continuation of the series, people should forget

about Zuko finding his mother. The last i heard was that the show would continue with a new Avatar in a new time. Since the Avatar is reborn every generation, it actually makes sense to start if off with a new one and maybe new characters.

However it still wouldn't be bad if we got a short movie on Zuko's adventure to find his mother with Ang and the rest of the gang tagging along

Man, me and my kids watched that Saturday night and it was awesome. After watching it I felt like, "Finally a show that gives people what they want". We watched it since the premier as well, but I seemed to think a lot of people watched and liked it. That may be because I am an anime fans and many anime fans seem to like Avatar.

Like you said, that last fight sequence was a thing of beauty.I thought it was BETTER than the Goku Frieza fight actually. It was the first thing that popped in my head. It Goku like 20 episodes to fight Frieza and most of that time was spent talking and staring. The fight between Ang and the fire lord was win.

As for the complaints about the voice cast, people complained about that? It's an American series, why would they make the voice cast any thing but English?

If M. Knight wants to turn it into a live action film though, count me out.

According to wikipedia he is already signed on for a trilogy.
