"Last Lecture" Professor dead at 47

    Sad to hear about this:
    http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/book....ap/index.html
Randy Pausch, a Carnegie Mellon University computer scientist whose "last lecture" about facing terminal cancer became an Internet sensation and a best-selling book, died Friday. He was 47.
If you haven't heard any of this lecture, here is a shortened version he did on Oprah a few months ago:

Wow. I've never heard of this (even being from Pittsburgh and having two friends at CMU), but it's always nice to hear about someone who embraces life and does what he can to help others... even if his intention was only to help his three children with this speech, he'll still help countless others in some capacity.

his message should be echoed from near to far for...EVER. his focus was to live the life he dreamed of instead of worry about his impending death. from the moment we are born death is impending for all of us. we should all look at life the way he had come to...imo...RIP

The full last lecture can still be found on youtube if you haven't seen it or you want to see it again.

Yeah, I debated posting the full version on here, but then I took into account attention spans and went for the Oprah version because it still conveyed a powerful message in a smaller package
