Monitor for gaming at College

So, I'm off to school in about a month, and I'm thinking about getting a monitor that I can use my 360 on, so I don't hog the TV.

I've heard good things about Dell and Samsung monitors, but I'd like to get some suggestions from you guys.

I don't know what size I should be looking at, as I haven't used a desktop monitor for a couple years now (made the move to a laptop). I (obviously) don't want to overspend on a monitor that is too big, but I don't want to be wishing I had gotten a larger one. What size(s) would you guys suggest?

Looking at CNET, I came across these two:

Anyone have either of these?

Also, how would I get the sound? I've got a good set of headphones already, would the be a way for me to use those to get the sound from my 360?

I just got two TVs. Works out well.
