Ok my Dad brought himself an E-Machine P.C with Windows Vista about 3 months ago. Any way, there's a problem with the Microsoft update. Every time it tells me updates are available and it updates, when it restarts the PC tells me that Windows couldn't restart properly and tries to fix the problem.
Normally it does fix the problem and it boots up correctly. However the Microsoft again forever tries to update so it does this every so often. But just yesterday, its gone back in a loop. I turned it on and windows was automatically updating, and when it restarted my PC told me that windows couldn't load properly so it would try to fix the problem. It fixes and restarts, but when it restarts it downloads the update automatically, so i'm never actually brought up to my start screen.
Is there anyway i can stop the update? I tried starting it up in safe mode, but the p.c still updates windows automatically. Its just going in this loop of restarting, fixing the problem, downloading the update again and restarting
If worst comes to worst i still have the recovery disc, but i'm hoping i won't have to do that
