Need Some Computer Help Please

Hey guys,

So I need to get some of the stuff that's on my old Windows 98 laptop onto my current laptop. I tried putting my external hard drive and it said there are no drivers for it. I tried hooking up my mini flash drive and it couldn't add the hardware. I thought I had a CD burner on there but I put in a blank CD and it wouldn't let me do anything with it. There's no wireless internet on it either.

So, how can I get those files (old pics and documents, mainly) from there onto my computer? Can I hook up two computers USB to USB? Any other suggestions?

Can hook them up through a network if you have a router. Then share the files on the old one and grab them with the 2nd one

I do have a router but damn, I can't find (or don't remember what happened to) the ethernet card that I had plugged into the PCMCIA slot of the computer! There's no ethernet port, lol.

That's weird, I thought USB flash drives worked on 98.

I don't get why it's not working. It's just a little Memorex 128mb drive.

Fishy, would it work if I hooked up the two computers USB to USB?

If it's win 98 pre-SE edition, then yes you'll have problems with usb. It should still work though. Google win 98 usb mass storage driver and get that on the laptop.
