Is it me or are the 2ksports boards the worst?

Thank god for Operation Sports I try to check out other forums to see what other people are saying on other message boards but the Intelligence Level Is non-existent It's so refreshing to here Intelligent sports talk here on OS

Yeah on 2K boards you can't give your honest opinion about stuff and alot of people like to argue to much, and gets childish sometimes. Maybe there's alot of new members now or something??? Also people gripe over the smallest things, like I want Create a Shoe feature back??? Or nick pick about everything. On here I notice members give a better debate or the subject matter is more serious.

I used to be there a long time ago when it was called Sega Sports forums... lots of cool ppl left to like realgm or somewhere else...the place has become a hell hole of sorts... just dumb ignorant people.

the 2k boards just get worse and worse. it didnt use to be so bad but now every other thread is either "how do you do an alley-HOOP" lol! or "who do you think is the best shot blocker in the game" i swear i have seen these two questions asked fifty times. last year all i saw was "who should i use for my chise" and a hundred "chise" threads. im glad i found o.s.

Well, the boards at 2K Sports aren't really bad. The problem lies more with new members or those more new to 2K's games. They won't go to a place like OS because they don't even know it exists, and usually find out through other sources (such as the 2K boards). As 2K's games get more popular, you'll have more "newbs" who will join the forums to ask what we find are "silly questions".

The good thing about OS is that this site weeds out clowns. If you're saying a bunch of nonsense you'll get called out on it or get your thread closed.

Unfortunately you sometimes get that "who should i use for my chise" dumb question here too but its not bad.

THe reason Os is awsome is the mods here, they close things down quickly and ban people that aren't "positively" affecting the site.

EDIT: This is the only forum I visit. Can't stand Gamespot or IGN or any others.

They used to be worse. But before that, they used to be better.

The problem now is there isn't much activity as before. But when there is, it feels like you're on IMDb... or commenting on YouTube.

I'm a mod over there... and the reason I like posting over here rather than over there is that the level of maturity and intellect is much higher. On OS as a mod you can ban anyone for any reason, especially if they particularly piss you off or are pissing everyone else off, or just being an idiot in general.

At 2k, a corporation's message board, you have to be more careful as to who you can boot and who you can't. If you start banning kids left and right just for being stupid, chances are you might scare off a few potential customers, even though I don't actually work for the company.


The biggest problems are that no one knows how to use the search button and really immature posters who come because it's the only message board they know about. And everyone in the world wants to share their "Chise," in every section of the message board.
