Black Stone Cherry : Folklore and Superstition

Probably my most anticipated CD in a while. Who else is gonna pick this one up?
Ive heard a couple songs off the new one (Blind Man and Soulcreek) and they both rock.
Pretty sure it comes out Aug 18th

I love this band and their last CD was great, so I will get this for sure.

I've never listened to their first CD, Blind Man is the first I've heard of them. I really like Blind Man so I guess I need to find that first CD and give it a listen.

These guys are from my area of KY. I've never really listened to their music, just not really my genre, but here is a personal story I thought was interesting.

I was at WAL-Mart picking up NCAA at midnight last year. (Not a lot of other places to pick up the game at midnight in small town KY, and not much else to do either) So I pull up and there is a radio station truck out front and all these goth looking kids out there and there is music playing. I'm wondering what exactly is going on, b/c Wal-Mart is never this popular except on the 1st of the month. Anyway I stroll back to the electronics part and there are more kids around. Finally I figure out that Black Stone Cherry's CD is a midnight release as well. So I get in the checkout line behind this 80 year old woman. I'm thinking why in the world is this old woman out at midnight buying CD's. So she starts telling the cashier that her grandson is in the band and from what I gathered her son is a member of the Kentucky Headhunters (a country band that was popular a good while back).

What I was so impressed with is that this grandma was out at midnight picking up her grandson's CD, not getting a free copy. Plus that is probably not the type of music she really listens to, and to top it all off she is out there way past her bedtime I'm sure. It's not like she couldn't have picked it up the next day. Needless to say I was very impressed with grandma.

I'll probably be getting this CD when it comes out on Tuesday. I found out about them even before their CD came out because they put a single up on iTunes before the release and I found it somehow. Well I ended up buying their first CD as soon as I could, and I wasn't disappointed. Great band IMO
