Re: Buying NFL Jerseys on the net, help

If I'm not buying from the store, the ONLY place ONLINE I'm getting em from are from NFLShop.com

Another one is ESPNShop.com Bought one of those Green Bay Super Bowl Jackets that have the logos of the team and Super Bowl on the back. Retail, they normally run about 275-300. Paid 150 for it because at the time, they we're having some promotion where if you bought anything over $175, you got like 20-30% off.

So yea, I'd most def try those two.

Either nfl.com or any teams' website.

Ebay, just make sure to read the description carefully and that they have great feedback.

Me too. I always check the descriptions, make sure the picture of the jersey shows all of the tags, make sure the jersey is coming from the US (not China or SE Asia where there are a ton of bootleg jerseys) and check the sellers feedback (I usually only by from people with 500 or better). I have bought almost 10 jerseys from Ebay and all have been legit and official.

Yeah I would definitely recommend ebay. I just got a Marion Barber jersey for $40. Just check the feedback of the seller and you should be fine.

I've bought a few off of ebay and haven't had any problems so far. Not to mention they look great and you really can't tell the difference between these and the real authentics.

If you want to make sure you're getting the authentic item, go with NFLshop.com. Ebay is the way to go if you don't mind overlooking some details. On occasion, I've seen wrong number fonts and even wrong logos. So be careful on ebay. Just don't expect the real thing for $50. You always get what you pay for.

But sometimes you just get great deals. I just got an authentic A-Rod jersey on ebay for $70 including shipping. MLB.com would cost $204.99 plus shipping.

Just gotta make sure the pictures show the tags, good feedback, and ideally buy from people who have sold lots of jerseys in the past with great feedback.

Ebay is alright but I dont think its half as good as people are making it out to be. Checking pictures only works so far since a lot of people will "borrow" pictures from previous auctions ended for that same item and therefor the picture might show something legit but the product wont. I purchased a Steve Largent retro jersey awhile back, I did all my research, the pictures checked out in comparison to legit pictures on other websites and then when I received it, it wasnt even what was in the picture, hell is still had the fabric backing used when stitching on the insise of the jersey.

Another time I bought a Joe Montana jersey, did the same research and felt secure until the jersey showed up and the damn name plate on the back was crooked and a lot of the sewing was done half-assed, another failed attempt.

Personally, and I know their prices arent the best and they tend so speciailize in retro jerseys more, but distantreplays.com has to be the best source for me personally.

Was their feedback good? Did you try contacting them to return it?

But your right, there are safer options than ebay and if you are willing to spend a little more than go with them.

Yeah their feedback was good and the funny thing is they continued to get good feedback on jerseys they sold after that. I think a lot of it is they were selling to people who didnt know how to tell if something was fake or not so they just took everything at face value and didnt question anything. Secondly, it was back when sellers were basically strong arming buyers using feedback as their weapon of choice so lots of people had complained it appeared but then it was mutually withdrawn after the fact, and back then I wasnt sure how to locate that information other then seeing how many negatives they had, which at the time, feedback that was mutually withdrawn didnt count towards negative at all.

You are right. I would never by a retro jersey from Ebay. I looked for an Emmitt Smith jersey and 99% of them were fakes. I only buy current players and i dont think you can go wrong with those if you do your due dilligence.

What size # jerseys are you guys buying? I wear an XL shirt but I think a XL 52 jersey may be too big.
