I know I didn't say much, but what else are you talking about?

Man, this was one of the worst roasts I have ever seen. I didn't find hardly any joke funny. Nothing that offensive either. Not sure if anyone else watched, but it was horrible to me.

Yeah I watched some of it--not impressed at all. It had so much potential, but it just wasn't funny.

Watched a bit..... Cloris Leachman was pretty good. I wish they would get away from the sophmoric genital humor and try to go back to what works: wit, originality and playing to the strengths of the given comedian. The problem is that there are no more variety shows like Dean Martin where the roasts worked so well. But, then again, that was in part due to the comedians of that era were amazingly good. Maybe, they scrape the bottom of the barrel for these types of shows anymore because anyone that does have any merit as a comedian wouldn't stoop to do this kind of show. They're too big anymore.

I watched the first 10 to 20 minutes and it's garbage. All the "offensive" jokes were just gay jokes that were lame or dumb Full House references. I've got it recorded and I think I'll delete the rest today.

Re: The Roast of Bob Saget

There was some Olsen twin jokes, but Bob Saget was on Stern last Wednesday and they asked him about the rumors going around about him editing some jokes out that he didn't like, he said it didn't happen, but I bet it did. He said he had first choice on what didn't make it.

Why do a roast if you can't take the jokes?

The funniest jokes are the most offensive ones. When they roasted Artie Lange on Stern this one joke cracked me up.

Artie is fat, out of shape etc of course... well his dad was a roofer and fell of a roof when Artie was younger and became a paraplegic (died later on) and one of the jokes were hitting at Arties weight and Sal said "Artie it's a shame that the only vegetable you ever cared for, was your dad"

Man I laughed so hard that.

I highly doubt Saget would edit jokes. I never heard him on Stern but when he's been on Opie & Anthony he's smashed himself and other people have smashed him, he made jokes about everything and anything you can think of.
I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Yeah, I'm shocked at Saget... he seems to be such a mainstream comic, but if you actually see some of his standup, he's as blue as they come. Just incredible.

Best part was Jodie Sweetin in the crowd. Screw the Olsen twins, I'll take Sweetin.

Used to have the biggest crush on her and Laurie Loughlin, I guess I still do. But yah the Roast sucked. Was Norm McDonald serious? THat was the worst stand up or whatever you call it I have ever seen, seriously.

I think/hope he was being awful on purpose.
