Most recently, Gone Baby Gone stuck with me a few days. The ending of that movie is very thought provoking and it makes me think of what I would do in that situation.

The Mist, The Descent, and Good Will Hunting also.

"Lonesome Dove" with Robert Duvall (capt. Augustus McCray) and Tommy Lee Jones (capt. Woodrow F. Call)....Almost 20 years later, and I still consider their characters the best of all time. I find myself asking "what would Gus do" in certain situations

I have 4 movies. 2 I think most will agree on. The third and fourth are gonna give you guys things to rip me on

1. Schindler's List

2. Apocalypse Now

3. Bambi

4. Star Wars: A New Hope

Yes John Q does stand out big time to me I know what it's like to loose a child so I was able to feel his pain in that movie. Also 2 other movies Radio and Superman the movie. The words that Jor El spoke stood out so much to me but now that I am a Father with 2 boys of my own and I can relate to it I really understand what it means

"You will make my strength your own, You will see my life through your eyes, as your life will be seen through mine, The Son becomes the Father and the Father becomes the Son"

Id say Into the Wild for me. I havent watched it in about 2 months or so and I still think about the movie today. Such a sad story but at the same time I respect McCandless (sp?) for finding true happiness. btw the Eddie Vedder Into the Wild Soundtrack is really good also.

Nothing quite like United 93. The Mist and Blood Diamond got to me a bit, but United 93 definitely tops the list.

A Time to Kill. This is one of those movies that I can watch over and over. I can definitely empathize with Samuel Jackson's character, because if someone EVER did that to my son I would kill them without any hesitation.

Blackhawk Down. I was involved with that mission(Operation Gothic Serpent) and even though the movie was watered down quite a bit. It still brings out some strong emotions in me. I lost 2 great friends there (Gary Gordon and Randy Shughart) and the way they were portrayed in the movie does them justice.
