I thought it sucked too. Probably because I'm against Olympic basketball (well, mostly team USA) and because I'm not patriotic and can't stand national anthems and flag waving.

whoa... I just didn't like the commercial.

On topic though...

Nike's commercials have been awesome overall, though.

Yeah, my bad. I like to explain why I don't like something - but I guess I shouldn't have expected people to simply take someone's opinion for what it is, and not trash talk them for it. My fault there for thinking people could act like adults.

And for some reason I cannot see the videos in the quote box when I quote you, so I have to leave all of them there. I wanted to say that the second one is great. I loved watching it when it came out last year. That's one of the best sports commercials I've ever seen.

You know the mature person would be the bigger man and leave the issue alone if he thought he was right and other the wrong.

Anyways, Nike commercials always seem to be more artistic and claim that anyone can be the best, which everyone therefore connects to.

I also liked the way Nike "mocks" you when they say My Better Is Better Than Your Better.

I love jeremy, but I'm not feeling that commercial.

I was amazed that they made the Braveheart music work in the Merriman commercial though. I never realized it when I first saw it.

When you badmouth patriotism and the US basketball team, you're badmouthing Americans and the American way of life. No surprise you got the reaction you did. That said, I agree with everything you wrote. Keep in mind though Canadians are pretty patriotic when it comes to things like mountains, prairies, open spaces and hockey

That first commercial is dull as old dishwater and about as maudlin as it gets. The second commercial was truly awesome. THAT one has to do with sports.
