I also don't like ipods anymore, and have one of sandisk's players that's 2 gigs, and it's great for the car and gym.

They are easy to use, as you just simply drag and drop the music onto the player like a USB flash drive. Sandisk also has pretty good support from companies making accessories like arm sleeves, car FM radio transmitters, stands, speakers, etc.

Ya, I was reading that about Sandisks. So, I could have my CD in my tray and simply open the CD drive displaying the tracks, then simply drag and drop to the Sandisk USB temp drive?

What type of Zen do you have and does it have the drag and drop feature like the Sandisk?

I had a Creative Labs Zen that looked like this (but in white):

It was 8GB and it was a beast. Unfortunately, an idiot friend of mine decided to throw it up in the air, then let it hit three things before falling to the ground. RIP.

I have an iPod now, but I'd suggest a Creative Labs. iPod's look cooler, but the Creative Labs are better machines, IMO.

I have one too, but just be wary that 1 they don't make it anymore and 2 they have bad LCD or design where the LCD will shatter or burn from the inside. Mine just broke one day, nothing happen, the LCD was just broken on the inside, not the outside. Had to end up paying around $40 to get it fixed after I did a lot of yelling on the phone to their support. I was told you can never have anything touching the front of the player, not even you hand or it being in your pocket may create too much pressure. From what I saw on the internet, they used cheap parts or packed too much into the small case.

Mine's almost 3 years old. I'm ready for it to die one of these days, believe me I've gotten a LOT of use out of this baby. Never a problem with it. I already got my money's worth.

Kinda itchin' to get something newer and sexier, but I've vowed to wait until this one dies.

Went with the Creative Zen PLUS 2GB (Radio Shack) and found a Monster RadioPlay 200 FM transmitter (indirectly from Amazon). Total for all with shipping was under $70.
