Re: What Blu Rays or HD-DVDs have you bought lately?
Yes sir. The picture is great and the sound is off the charts....even for having lossy sound on HD-DVD. Haven't heard the lossless sound on the new blu-ray version.
I wishfully thought that once I got a PS3 (for blu ray) and a netflix subscription that I'd stop buying movies. Sold about 40 of my HD-DVDs but they've been replaced with blu rays.
So instead of having over 100 HD-DVDs (which were a steal after the Warner announcement...less than $9 each) I now have roughly a 60/40 split.
I love HD-DVDs and their post-Warner pricing but the better format won. Picture quality is even, but sound is MUCH better on blu ray. And it's nice being able to buy used blu rays and not have to worry about the disc being scratched.Comment

Re: What Blu Rays or HD-DVDs have you bought lately?
Slightly off topic: Not a purchase, but i noticed that the Iron Man blu ray got a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars review on HDD. I wanna pick this one up, but seeing some big sticker shock.
$14-15 is the most I'd ever pay for a movie.
That's even with owning over 100 hi-def movies on HD-DVD and blu ray.Comment

Anywhoo only site i listen to is Blu-Ray, and they scored it a perfect 5.0.
