Fall Out Boy - Folie A Deux

The new FOB album will come out November 4th, titled "Folie a Deux" which is French for 'the shared madness of two.

They recently were part of a mixtape with possible songs "Lake Effect Kid", "Catch Me If You Can" and "America's Sweethearts". All three of them are catchy.

I certainly like what I heard and can't wait for the album to drop.

First CD was good, I liked a couple of songs from Infinity on High and the CD in between those two (always forget what it is called), so I'll grab this one.

And Tyler, anywhere I could listen to those three possible songs?

Well, I just managed to find a copy of the new album which comes out next Tuesday.

So far, mixed feelings. Lyrics aren't the strong suite of this album but I'm really digging the music. And I always love Patrick Stump' voice.

I think right now, my favorites would be What A Catch Donnie, w.a.m.s, America's Suitehearts, and The (Shipped) Gold Standard.

If you like FOB, it's definitely worth a listen. I have a feeling it'll be like the last album where it took some time to grow on me but really end up liking it.

Definitely have to check it out. I liked their old stuff more, but some of the stuff off "Infinity on High" was good as well. They always have some catchy stuff, at the least.

Haven't given it a straight-through listen yet, but from what I've heard it's definitely an "eh" kind of album for me.

Some good songs, the rest are just in the "decent" category for me. I will say though, Patrick's voice is one of the more dynamic ones I can remember in recent memory. It is a shame that Fall Out Boy has that stigma around them and more people can't hear how talented he is.

Crazy how much their last album grew on me. I absolutely hated it the first couple listens.. but up to now I still play it when I workout.

I expect that same dynamic for their latest release.

This album is now getting nonstop play.

One song I didn't mention prior that I can't stop listening to is 20 Dollar Nose Bleed. Between Patrick and Brandon's voice, it's amazing. Such a catchy tune.

And I agree with Longhorn about Patrick's voice, it's a shame people don't get to truly hear how talented he is. This album, just like Infinity On High, really shows his range.

It is a shame that Fall Out Boy has that stigma around them and more people can't hear how talented he is.

Thats why I have always wished he would do a solo project.

Or kick Pete out of the band.

I miss TTTYG, that was the best CD they had. That sound is so much better than what they sound like now.
