yeah the villain will make it (maybe Stallone needs to be in it since he can make a good 4th movie in a franchise LOL). But with the villain rumored to be the Lizard.., I don't know. Lizard would be alright for a secondary villain I guess, but they need a big villain here because like it or not, The Dark Knight set the tone for villains in comic book movies. I liked Iron Man better than TDK as a whole, but there is no doubt that Iron Man had a pretty weak villain but it doesn't matter as much for that movie since it was the first in the series. When you get into sequels you gotta have the villains. The Spider-man franchise shouldn't have wasted Venom the way they did, he wasn't even the best villain in Spidey 3. But I guess the Lizard does have a good story in it since he is both Peter's friend and enemy, but that's already been done with Harry and Harry's dad to an extent in the first Spidey.

Thats the thing though, they wasted a great villain like Venom off so stupidly. The Lizard is a pretty cool villain, but hes not good enough to hold a full length feature movie by himself. What they probably should do is put two of the lesser villains in. The Lizard and someone like Electrode, Shocker or even the Rhino.

They should use Dr. Connors as The Lizard.

The Lizard does have a good story but the problem is they haven't done anything to build it up in the movie franchise. Sure we've seen Dr. Connors but we don't get any sense that he and Peter are close. Nor do we ever see his obsessive side in trying to regrow his arm. He would just suffer the same fate as Venom in the third in that since he was not properly built-up and developed the impact isn't there.

They could have done so many things if they started the movie series with the Kingpin. Oh well.

I'm sure we'll see Venom as it is being rumored a lot, hopefully this time though they do it correctly.

If they don't go deep with a Venom arc, I want to see the Hob Goblin.

If not the Kingpin then at least The Chamelion is the next best thing to a crime boss. Not the crappy Chamelion they had in the cartoons either. I mean the one that was running things in the comics.

The Tombstone/Robbie Robertson story could be very interesting as well. As of right now Robbie Robertson is just a secondary character.

Also there is Scorpion/J. Jonah Jameson arc they could throw in there.

IMO, they should have tied the Kingpin into Uncle Ben's death somehow. Even if Kingpin wasn't the main baddie in the first film, at least include him and develop him into a bigger force as the series progressed. An idea for the next series.

Thing with the Chameleon was that most of the time his goal was to eliminate the Kingpin and become the new head crime boss. Now that would be for a hell of of a movie with the Chameleon, Kingpin, and perhaps the Rose.

Yeah the wars between Kingpin and the Chameleon were priceless.

                            Tobey's getting close to signing a deal for Spidey 4 & 5

He just wants $50 million and profit shares.
