I am so glad that the last of the unholy trilogy of Mariotti, Bayless, and Lincicome is finally out of town. Good riddance. For the record, he didn't do his job with me. I avoided his article like the plague and seeing him on tv and hearing him on the radio only reinforced that decision. What a tool.

Re: Ebert calls out Marrioti
This is awesome.
I am thrilled that Moronotti is on his way out of my town. The guy is hated by every pro sports team in Chicago, and he is literally petrified with fear to go into any teams locker room to talk to the players.
I know alot of people dont like Hawk Harrelson, but I remember a story from not long ago that Hawk wanted to talk to him at US Cellular Field, and Mariotti went screaming for security and ran off like a child.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.Comment

Re: Ebert calls out Marrioti
He's not the best baseball analyst, but he is a good guy that respects the fans. The fact that he wanted to strangle Mariotti says it all. He wouldnt call him by name on air, he would call him the Hineybird.
Ozzie had it right a few years ago, I wont put what he called him, but its the dead on truth.Comment

Rumors have it that Marrioti is coming to work in Boston in some way. Should be interesting if true because the Boston sports seen is the most parochial(sp) in the nation. If he starts with the negativity he won't be around too long.follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/eton_riflesComment

If Marrioti develops the new found New England arrogance i'll shoot myself. The man was unbearable but having him attach himself to the aura of winning and acting like the **** of the walk the way some New Englanders are now will be just too much.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Not from an outside reporter, no.
The fans, the true Boston sports writers, etc...yes. But if Marrioti came in to Boston and started out with some negative ****...peace, Jay.
Luckily I don't really read any columns or ****, so it doesn't bother me that he may be coming to this area.Comment

Re: Ebert calls out Marrioti
I don't read his articles, but he's tolerable on ATH. I like his and Woody's interactions.
As for the guy bragging about going up and starting **** with Mariotti, you need to grow up. I find it laughable that you find Mariotti to be a tool for his actions, but then have the nerve to actually go up to him and start insulting him...and then brag about it on the internet. Mariotti may be arrogant and have strong opinions, but what you did was just douchebag-ery.Comment

Unless you have had to deal with this queer in your city, you have no right to talk about a fan telling going up to him and telling him to shove it.Comment

Last I checked, I don't go up to strangers and proceed to lecture them on how much of an ******* they are. I have a little more class than to do something like that.Comment
