Dwight: Come on, no, you have to charm ‘em. (on the phone) Hey there gorgeous, how are you doing today?
Stephanie: I’m good thank you.
Dwight: How’s it hanging?
Stephanie: Alright..
Dwight: Good, listen, my name is Michael (pauses, sees a tape dispenser) Scotch, and I just wanted to say that, uh, I’ve got David Wallace’s son in the trunk of my car. If he doesn’t get to this phone in five seconds I’m gonna start.. (Michael hangs up the phone)
Michael: What are you doing? God! (redials) Hi Stephanie it’s Michael Scott again. I just spoke with Michael Scotch and the son’s going to be returned. Everything’s fine. And I really, really need to talk to David.



They need to expand on this Michael Scotch character. He probably still has Wallace's kid in his trunk. :wink:

That probably what they will do so everyone in the office will recognize how much they miss Michael Scott then he will return and all will be right.

Wouldn't that be a demotion for Charles, though? He's regional manager, so I would expect Jim to be the next in line. Either way, the ending was great. You could tell Michael was upset over the whole situation, having been there 15 years and feel like the company's treatment of him is going backwards as he mentioned that his previous two bosses basically let him do his own thing.

This season has been the worst out of the 5, but I really enjoyed this episode. The Charles character brings a new dynamic to the show.

At this point, I think it's time to get rid of Andy. He has brought nothing to the show after his love triangle with Dwight and Angela ended.

Yeah, Jim getting exposed was great. He spends so much time trying to make Dwight look like a fool it was great to see him getting his. As a matter of fact, he did a better job of making himself look silly than he did Dwight.

LOL yeah... it was different to see Jim looking like a fool instead of someone else.

After the love triangle ended, the writers haven't figured out what to do with Andy's character. He's just sort of there. I like Andy but his character has run its course.

The writers have also basically ignored the fact that his co-worker was sleeping with his fiance. You would think Andy would be more upset but all 3 of them still work in that tiny office like it never happened.

I feel like the dysfunctional relationship Angela, Andy, and Dwight have fits their characters perfectly.

Andy is the kind of person who won't necessarily get angry right away and instead bottles it up for a huge outburst later. Also, Dwight and Andy already had their confrontation a few episodes earlier, so naturally there would be some catharsis.

Angela is just weird and with her "holier than thou" attitude it seems perfectly logical that she wouldn't bring attention to her mistakes.

With Dwight he is so focused on whatever scheme Michael and him are cooking up or whatever Jim is doing that he wouldn't necessarily bring up any tension like that. I feel like Dwight struggles with his feelings for Angela internally, but he's very careful to never let those feelings become apparent to other people.
