Clark is suppose to learn to fly this year.

Ya know, now that I realize that they are never going to REALLY stick to the Superman mythos, I am finding a newfound joy in watching this again. I used to be so worried about whether they would do everything exactly like the comics, but now it doesn't bother me as much.

That said, I am actually excited to see what they are having planned for Davis Bloom as Doomsday. It is NOTHING like the real Doomsday, but if it leads to some bad*ss fights, i'm all for it. Now, if they make it a 2 second fight like they have with the rest of the villians in Smallville, I won't be happy.

I gotta say, I am fairly excited for the rest of this season, especially with the new Lois and Clark dynamic.

Don't get me started on the high def thing again. 100+ HD channels on DirectTV but no CW HD. Erica looks pretty good in low def too.

Yeah, I wish they had started down this path 3 years ago. The ratings will probably suffer because they cultivated an audience that largely thinks of the show as either " Clark loves Lana", or "The Adventures of Chole and Clark", and has already made up its mind to hate the new direction.

Regardless, I too am glad they've shifted focus.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Although I'm a loyal fan of Smallville (watched every episode) what hurt the show for me was Lana and likable turned unlikable Lex. The union of these two negatives was mainly the writers' attempt to create angst for Clark, but all it succeeded to do was fragment storylines and turn out some of the series' worst episodes. Lex as a really bad guy was kind of hard to swallow, and something I think many Smallville fans didn't want to see despite it's inevitibility. I'm really liking the early start to this season.

Good episode with the Green Arrow origin story. Great chemistry between Clark & Lois and Oliver & Tess. Excellent ending as Ollie points a few things out to Clark.I think it's episode #9 that Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy, and Lighting Lad (Legion Of Superheroes) are sent back from the future by Superman "to make things right". Evidently Clark will be made aware of his super moniker unless some type of induced amnesia is necessary.

OK, guys-3 posts in a row-am I the only one that watches this series?
This latest one was more than a freak of the week when sex starved Maxima is killing mortals while searching for a suitable mate as Lois's feelings for Clark are revealed at least to herself. Great chemistry between those two. I like the way they are setting up Clark & Lois.

I loved Thursday nights episode whoever played Maxima was hot. Hope we get to see some more of her. I wonder who has the Crystal to rebuild the fortress now. Anyway this season is going better than I thought it would.

I'm enjoying this season immensely. I'm just annoyed that they started down this road so late in the life of the series. Tess and Davis are great characters who should have been developed over the years, and would been great recurring nemeses.

They wasted so much time(IMO) on teen angst stuff, and now its almost too late.

They are STILL wasting to much time on it. Almost that entire episode was drama crap

Drama in the sense of the Clark-Lois situation? To each his own, but what I hated about Clark-Lana was they had zero chemistry after season 2. The Chloe-Jimmy stuff produced a good hospital scene, but overall I'd like to see less of it.
