    Looking to buy a new laptop....

    Hey guys, looking to buy a laptop for school with some of my financial aid money. My current laptop is still going but there are issues with the power connector and it's starting to slow down a bit.

    I came across this one this morning...

    http://www.techbargains.com/news_displayItem.cfm/135176

    I got it to these specs for $1500 after the $500 coupon...good deal? Anyone know about HP laptops? Do they run hot? My Dell burns me up enough where I had to buy a laptop cooler for it. Also, my bro's HP laptop mouse buttons don't "click", they sort of "sink" if that makes sense. Obviously not a deal-breaker, but I'd like an answer about this model if any of you guys know.

    Anyway...

    * • Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit)
    * • Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor T9400 (2.53 GHz)
    * • 16" diagonal High Definition HP Ultra Brightview Infinity Display (1920x1080p)
    * • 4GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
    * • 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
    * • 250GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
    * • [For BrightView Infinity Display] Webcam + Fingerprint Reader
    * • HP Color Matching Keyboard
    * • Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100AGN and Bluetooth(TM)
    * • HP Integrated HDTV Hybrid Tuner
    * • 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
    * • Microsoft(R) Works 9.0
    * • $10 OFF Computrace LoJack for Notebooks, One Year
    * • Blu-Ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD+/-R/RW Double Layer
    * • 1-year HP Accidental Damage Protection with Pick Up and Return

    I love the 1080p monitor with the Blu-Ray and the 512MB video card. Can anyone tell me more about the HD Tuner? What would I exactly be able to do with this? Watch over-the-air locals in HD?

    Thanks!

    You can save another $40 if you buy the 4gb of Ram from Newegg.

        That's a big, heavy laptop.
