I'm really considering buying a new car. It certainly won't be anytime soon though, probably around next summer or a little after that. I'm really itching for a Muscle car though. I've dreamed of owning a Mustang GT since i was a Junior in High School. Truth be told, i'm a big Mustang fan. I love what Ford has done with the Mustang GT. They took the old and the new and were able to mix it accordingly to create the 05+ Mustang GT

I didn't know too much about cars until i started playing Forza and Gran Turismo. Yea i know its funny, but playing those games you come across cars you do become fond of and start researching them and becoming more knowledgeable about them.
I've also taken a look at
Pontiac GTO
New

Old

The thing is with the Pontiac, i feel as if it lost that Muscle look it had in the early 70s. The car looks more sporty now. The thing is unlike the Mustang, Pontiac didn't drive the GTO into the millennium. They just took it out of the 70's and brought it into the 21 century. There were no iterations of it to come along. Even though the car has more horse power and better handling then a Mustang, i like the look of the Mustang a lot more.
Dodge Charger
New

Old

To be frankly, i'm disappointed with the new Charger the most. It's gone from looking like the King of the hill to just a hill. With it becoming 4 doors, it really lost its appeal in my eyes. It lost what made it fierce. Don't get me wrong though, when built up it looks great. But it doesn't have that look it once had.
Dodge Challenger
New

Old

This one has impressed me the most. I was really high on the Mustang until i recently saw this car in person a couple days ago. I had seen concept art of it and seen it in video games, but it never drew me in. Seeing it in person though, i was completely floored. The car looks amazing.
Just like the GTO and Charger, here's a car that didn't have any version except for the 60s and 70s. They took it out of its time and reinvented it for the 21 century. However instead of changing the design, they just re imagined the car for the 21 century. It has the powerful look of the old one, yet the sleekness and curves of a 21 century car.
Money wise it is more expensive than the rest of the pack, however it also comes with more raw power than the rest of the cars i've sited. Truth be told, it probably handles the worst out of cars i named, but it certainly looks bitchin.
Right now i'm finishing up school. I have about a year and a half to two years left before i get my Bachelor's degree. I'm really considering buying one of these cars, especially since i don't have bad credit. I know that by next year i can have at least $6,000-$10,000 and i can probably assume my parents will put $5,000-$8,000 if i manage to save enough on my own bringing my total to around $11,000-$18,000. I would probably put that down and probably pay around $250 a month or less for a five year deal.
Now the RT Challenger goes at about $28,000 and the Mustang GT at around $25,000. Those are the two i'm really looking into. With my currently salary at Target, my entire paycheck would go to monthly payments and gas. But i don't pay any other bills, so ..........
The good thing is that my major is accounting and i'm certainly going to be going for my CPA. I know i can get myself a good job, but the question is, should i wait 3-4 years to get settled and then try to purchase my dream car of my teenage years or should i invest in it now and let faith dictate how long it will take me to get a good job?
