Re: Directv subscribers, don't forget about Friday Night Lights
So, I just finished watching season 2 on hulu and was watching the season 3, episode one recap (since hulu doesn't have all of season 3 up) and there's like a huge that seems to be missing from the show. Hulu only has 15 episodes from season 2. Are there more episodes available or did the writer's strike mess up season 2?

Re: Directv subscribers, don't forget about Friday Night Lights
Is the time gap from the end of season 1 to the beginning of season 3 because of the writer's strike? I mean, the last I saw was the guys on their way to the playoffs and Street was begging that waitress to keep his baby. The recap of ep. 1 of season 3 had Smash injuring his knee.

You are right about it getting cut short, though. NBC had ordered a full 22-episode season, but only 15 ended up being completed because of the Strike.Last edited by Bruins; 03-21-2009, 09:40 PM.Comment

Obviously, they weren't able to have have things go as planned, because of the strike. Like I said (above), once you're able to watch the first episode of Season 3 you'll see how the writers handled it. The recap doesn't really help you if you haven't seen the whole episode.Comment

Well basically what happened is that the Panthers managed to make the playoffs without Smash (suspended remember?). Smash was back for the first game, but blew out his knee and the Panthers crashed out of the playoffs because he was their only threat. Also, Smash lost his scholarship to Whitmore beacuse of this. Something like that.Comment

Awesome.
I'm not sure how many people are following the reshowing on NBC, but the last episode that was aired was the one where JD's father punched the **** out of JD. That father is a freakin' psycho - probably one of the better characters on the tele right now, IMO. And I know that this is a drama and all, but have none of these kids heard of scholarships, grants, and student loans?

If you are talking about Lyla, I think the assumption is that she isnt eligible. Vanderbilt is expensive as hell and Lyla wouldnt be eligible for loans to cover that school. Especially with two parents who work.Comment

I'm talking about any of them that don't use football as a means to get into college.
