I'm not sure if there are even any other Phish fans on here but if there are. Phish is getting back together after their separate ways to work on solo projects in 2004. They'll start in Hampton, VA with a 3 show run march 6-8, with more shows to be announced later.

Re: Phish is reuniting.
Awesome. Given how good Trey has sounded with his band lately, I figured this news was pretty much inevitable since it seems he's finally gotten his life back on track enough for Phish to reunite. Today was a happy day that I've been waiting for since I saw the second-to-last show in Camden back in 2004, just prior to Coventry.
My wife actually suggested doing the Hampton run earlier today. Might have to look into that....
Welcome back, guys!!!Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did do a tune up show in Burlington before Hampton. I love that they're going back to Hampton, the "Hampton Comes Alive" shows are some of the best Phish IMO. I'm already planning my trip back to the west coast if they announce any Shoreline shows. Plus I'm also hoping that there will be at least one show in Noblesville IN, they've had some historically great shows there and it's a mere 2 hour drive from Louisville.Last edited by Bighoff; 10-02-2008, 12:56 PM.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. Big fan here!!! Celebrated yesterday's news with the playing of 11/22/97, perhaps the finest of all Hampton shows. I'm going to throw my name in the ticket lottery and see what happens. I imagine Ticketmaster will sell out within 5 minutes tops so that route doesn't seem like it will work. I'm certainly not hell bent on going to these as I'll surely catch them in the summer, but it would be pretty f'ing cool to make these shows.Comment

I will be interested to see what they put together although I didn't like alot of the new style of music they were writing before the end. Regardless, I will be at Alpine if they roll through the area in the summer. Good luck to anyone trying to go to Hampton.Comment

Re: Phish is reuniting.
Hampton pre-order runs through the 8th. A friend here put in and I'm thinking about doing the same.
This reunion is going to be in stark contrast to what I witnessed back at MSG following the last hiatus. People were so juiced for them to be back, but the band really wasn't ready to be back and they played a pretty sloppy show, all things considered. Nobody cared when the first chords of Piper began to play, of course, but they were off their game and it took them a while to get back into fighting shape.
But now....the guys are focused, rededicated, and they've all been active in the scene recently with various projects. Plus they have a sizable amount of time before March rolls around to get together and really work out the kinks. I fully expect them to really slay it during that Hampton run.Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.

Re: Phish is reuniting.
So I just got the greatest email of my life...scored all 4 nights at Red Rocks this summer!!! I have never had any success with the lottery system since it went electronic so this is amazing to me! Shut out of Deer Creek, Alpine, and now Chicago, but I score Red Rocks!!!!!!!! I'm still in shock!!!Comment

Re: Phish is reuniting.
Anybody go to Camden last night?
That show absolutely rocked my face off. Best show of this tour by a mile and it basically destroyed the last time I saw them in Camden in 2004, right before Coventry. The energy last night was off the charts and the boys were clearly feeding off the wild crowd. The audience-requested Tube-First Tube was epic, the Sand that opened the second set was epic, Tweezer was epic, and the Antelope-Tweezer Reprise that closed the show was, yes, also epic. Killer show. I've seen my fair share, but this one ranks up there with the best of them.Helen: Everyone's special, Dash.

Re: Phish is reuniting.
Hey guys,
I live in Hampton and just noticed this thread. Think it's funny from my end because I'm not really a Phish fan so when it was announced the locals all just groan and shake our heads.
With a Phish concert, comes a massive increase in people just doing stupid annoying stuff in the area. Passed out people in parking lots and waffle houses. Campers/cars parked all willy nilly in place your not suppose to park, trash....ect.
Not hating on Phish fans in general, but with a concert comes a small storm of dumb behavior.Comment
