Well, I burn quite a few DVDs every week for various purposes, movies mostly. And all of a sudden the burn speed of my DVDs has dropped significantly. I used to be able to burn a movie at 8x in around 5 or 6 minutes, now it's taking right around 30 minutes. Same thing happening in both burning programs I use, Nero and ImgBurn. Set my burning speed to 8x, DVD burns at no higher than 1.3x. It just all of a sudden started happening too. Anyone have an idea of what has caused this?

Actually it seems to be my drive is just being slow in general. It said it was going to take 26 minutes to copy a movie back to my hard drive when it usually only takes about like 5-8... Just don't understand why my drive is being so slow and it happened just out of the blue. -

Your system could be overloaded with programs/processes or its overheating.
Whats the model and all that fun spec stuff?Aaron
