Just now when I started to turn my laptop on (I have a lenovo thinkpad) it went to the thinkpad startup screen, and after a couple seconds it shut back down. I've continuously tried to turn it on but I keep having the same problem. I hope it wasn't due to the download I left on overnight.
I think what MIGHT be the case is a couple days ago I was in an argument with my dad and I was really pissed off at him so I had the laptop in my hands and I just dropped it on the floor (while it was on) from about 7 inches up in the air. There weren't any problems I had after doing that, and I was able to turn the computer back on afterwards without any problems. So right now I have no idea what might have caused this problem.
Any help is appreciated; I just want to get it working again. I've got a lot of important stuff on there.
EDIT::: It turns out that when I take the battery out there are no problems.
