If we see a Riddler (or anyone else), I wouldn't mind a crazy one. But, as others have said you would need something to seperate it from the Joker. So how about a crazy Riddler, but without the plan. Without the smarts and genius and idealogy. Just an absolute nut.

No villian is worth his weight in gold if he doesn't pose a challenge to any superhero with his smarts. If Riddler is just a complete nut with a low IQ it's hard to get drawn into it because he won't be much of a threat. Just because the Joker was devious in a brilliant way doesn't mean that every villian after him has to be an idiot. Why would anybody compare the Riddler to the Joker if he's brilliant and a genious. The 2 villians in Begins were evil geniouses as well.

Obviuosly the Joker and Riddler will be compared just like they would be compared to any other good villians. If the Riddler acts like Ledger's Joker then we have a problem but his personality has always been pretty distinct from the Joker and it's pretty easy to make him psychotic in a different vein.

I wonder how credible this really is since Chris Nolan has notoriously never mixed projects together, in other words he won't start thinking about a new project until he's completely finished his current project. Unlike Spelberg who is notorious for juggling several things at once.

There was a small delay with TDK because Nolan wouldn't start with it unitl he had finished the Prestige. I thought I read somewhere that Nolan was directing a movie right now as he likes to mix things up and not go directly from TDK to Batman 3. Unless the one guy out of that 3 that hasn't signed is the director.

I hope this doesn't come out until like 2011. People need a break from Batman and we need other movies like Spider-Man 4 (or reboot or what have you), Bourne 4, uhh... you know, I just don't want to continually being updated because I don't want to feel like this thing will be rushed (as it sounds like it is already).

Why not? Most popular young actress with both sex appeal and box office draw. Obvious choice to have running around in leather tights, prowling like a cat.

Good opportunity for her to showcase other talents. I'll judge her harshly. Can she be sexy and cunning at the same time? I don't think we've seen that yet from her.

Anyway, I don't like the idea at all if true. I'm guessing it's not true since we haven't had any confirmation from major sites and have heard too many rumors at this point like Eddie Murphy to play the Riddler. I really hope the writers know what they're doing when the Nolan boys come back to do the screenplay and keep it within the same realm of authenticity that the first two maintained.

Even hearing about any Catwoman just seems off in my opinion, same as a Robin, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, and so on. Then again, I also had the same issues when I heard we would have a Joker, but they absolutely nailed the character (and perfect actor choice as well, which I never questioned but never expected this kind of greatness).

So it's not that I wouldn't question Fox, I'm actually questioning the character she would be and the fact that they would be name-dropping to get more people in the seats. People would be seeing this movie for the wrong reasons; I would much rather see a movie stick to origins such as Batman Begins, meaning they don't have to escalate the movie to be successful. I'd rather people go see the movie because of the success of the first two and come back pleased that they didn't go overboard. Having like three or four villains is far too many. Catwoman, Riddler, Penguin, Black Mask, maybe even the Joker? Give me a break.

Let's hope they don't screw this up.

In other news, there are other rumors floating about that the next movie will be shot entirely with IMAX cameras.
