Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I bowed out of this thread yesterday, so I stopped reading all conversations until the film comes up haha, but I just wanted to post the review roundup from RT:
This chunk is unnecessary, and frankly I have a feeling this might be a reason any of the 12 critics who gave it a rotten review decidedly did so. Do not compare. Look at the film independently, ask yourself whether you liked it, and move on. For instance, That Daily Mail critic said something about too much action or whatever? He liked The Avengers just fine. Maybe he was looking at TDK's amount of action and just made his comparison from there.
Anyway, end rant. I'm back out of this thread again. 38 more hours for me!Huge Fan of the New Orleans Saints & New Orleans Pelicans!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I am definitely gonna brush up on Batman Begins and TDK within the next few days just to refresh for this movie.
So with this being the last of the trilogy, where do Batman movies in general go from here? Another reboot?Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I don't see a reboot, at least not in the near future. Whatever you think or will think of this trilogy, it has garnered enormous critical acclaim and riches to boot-Too tough an act to follow.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
WB has said that Man of Steel is the only DC film on schedule within the next 3 years.
I imagine that they'll look to reboot Batman as a means to not only connect him to the inevitable JLA film, but the DC universe at large. I wouldn't expect another Batman film for 5 years.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
I haven't really heard much about post-Nolan Batman. The big news last week was that Nolan himself wouldn't be involved in any more comic book based films once Man of Steel releases.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Heard WB had their sights on Ryan Reynolds playing Batman/BW in the next reboot. RR is still hoping to get an R-Rated Deadpool off the ground so take it with a grain of salt as I can't see him the headliner in two potential comic book franchises.Last edited by NINJAK2; 07-18-2012, 07:26 PM.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment

Re: The Dark Knight Rises
Ryan Reynolds as Batman.
You might as well put Michael Cera in the Batsuit.
Personally I feel like that Armie Hammer guy from The Social Network (played the Winklevoss twins) that was supposed to be cast as Batman in that Batman Vs. Superman movie that fell apart would be a decent choice.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.
