    New monitor...

Well guys i'm in a bit of a dilemma, my old computer monitor died on me this morning (a 19" LCD non widescreen) and with the warranty repair costs i'm better of getting a new one.

Now the first issue is the debate between a 22" and a 24" widescreen due to the pretty large price difference.

Secondly i'm unsure if I should go after one now (newegg.com has some nice prices) or hold off and hope that I can score something on black friday.

    Any advice would be great.

P.S. also I am thinking about the 24 as I'd like to hook my ps3 up to it so I can play in high def.

I just upgraded from a 19 inch WS LG to a 22 WS Samsung. It is perfect for size and the price was right. I got it from Best Buy when it was on sale and it wasn't that much more than newegg. It is a sync master 2232 BW.

I'm considering these mainly at the moment, but i'm more than open to look at others, just not really sure what I want completely though.

Wow, I'm glad I saw your post! I was just about to buy this 19 inch:

I figured I'd get a 22 inch in a year or two, but for 20 bucks more and with free shipping as well...might as well get the 22 inch and not worry about a monitor for a while.

As for your dilemma. Personally I'd go for the 22 inch because of the huge price difference, but if you have the money and REALLY want a 24 inch...I'd go for it.

Here's a monitor/TV I've been toying with for a while. It's a 1080p TV and its resolution as a computer monitor is 1920 x 1200 It's much larger than what I need for a monitor, which is what I would be using it for. I do need a TV i can drag over to my buddies places whenever we do some lanning though and my current TV is a little large. Just throwing it out there.
