It's on the National Geographic Channel in the US and, yes, I've watched a few seasons of it now. I recently stopped watching for some reason, though. It's a great show and I wish more people watched. Agree or disagree with his techniques, the best thing people can take from the show is that a most dogs can be saved. It makes me depressed to think of how many dogs are being put down because their owner's messed them up and then couldn't handle the dog anymore.

There are a lot of feel good episodes where I was on the verge of tears because the dog was saved.

I used to watch it before I canceled my digital subscription. Now I watch the British chick on Animal Planet. I think it's called, "It's Me or the Dog".

The wife and I have it recording on the DVR every Friday. I think we've seen every episode since the show first started. She's tried doing a lot of the things Cesar does on her dog, but with mixed results (ie: putting the leash high on the dogs neck, doing the "ssshhhhh" to distract the dog etc...).

We want to get Cesar out East to look at her families dogs, but he doesn't often come out East and they aren't taking applications right now. Their dogs are nuts and her parent's have no control on them. The one dog humps everybody and her Dad thinks the dog does that because the dog loves people...I'm not kidding at all. When that dog humps his leg, he says "Ohhh, I love you too!" and then gives the dog a treat.

It's one of my favorite shows and I'm glad its around to educate people on how to be around dogs. His show actually changed me and my personality all around to be more calm and assertive.

I swear by his techniques and I use them on my dogs and my friends dogs that they have saved.

Right now I'm trying to help my friends dog who is completely scared of human males. The problem is, I can never get a hold of him to take him for a walk! He was an abandoned pup that never stayed with his mom, so he doesn't really know how to act like a dog.

The walk is so important and it bonds you with the dog in no other way. I'm going to take my British Bulldog who is well trained and he's going to be my 'Daddy' and help walk with him.

It took me about a month and now my dog can walk without a leash and can go anywhere without problems so hopefully we can do the same for my friend who tends to run away.

I love how he immitates the dog's reactions and expressions. I'm sure this guys was a dog in previous life

The problem I have with the show is some people might think this is the proper way to train a new puppy. I'm a firm believer in using positive reinforcement in training a puppy and would only use Cesar's methods in extreme circumstances where you got the dog from a shelter or rescue and somebody had already screwed up it's training.

90% of dog training is training the people how to train rather than the actual dog. Most people don't train with enough consistency and patience for it to be effective.

My dog looks at me crazy when I do that to him... and then he does whatever he wants anyways.

I've not come close to mastering Cesar's tricks, but I'm working on it.

Absolutely love the show though.

Funny you should mention this... I saw him in Manhattan and spoke with him just two weeks ago.

Was he in character? Because I work at Logan IA, and I met him and spoke with him for about 10 minutes at 5am. Dude has this fairly deep voice with a big ol' southern drawl, like he's from Texas. When he spoke I about shat myself. I was soooooo surprised.
