90% of my music listening is from my PC these days.
I have an integrated soundcard (yes = crap)
I decided to buy this SRS plug-in http://www.srs-store.com/store-plugi...sas-plugin.asp and all I can say is "wow".
It really helps improve bass and overall clarity of my music.
I primarily use it with iTunes. I have other media players, but am used to and like iTunes.
It essentially replaces your soundcard when you turn it on, so it works with all media players.
Frankly, this was $25 well spent. It was like getting a new soundcard.

I have been tempted to splurge on a set of Boses ... but haven't done so yet.
