When Led Zeppelin tours next year, they will not tour under the name Led Zeppelin. In an interview with RollingStone.com, a spokesperson for Jimmy Page stated, “Whatever this is, it is not Led Zeppelin. Not without the involvement of Robert Plant‘.

Page along with bassist John Paul Jones and drummer Jason Bonham are planning an upcoming tour with Alter Bridge front-man Myles Kennedy expected to join on vocals.

So it sounds like we're getting the Led Zep cover band. Playing the music but just don't call them by name. These guys must really need the money.

          Pass.

Maybe David Coverdale and the Black Crows will tour with this band.

They'll do this, but they won't have their songs in Guitar Hero.

I'm all for Myles Kennedy as much as the next guy, but the only other person that can legitimately do it better is Matt Damon:

I don't like Myles style of singing with Led Zeppelin in mind. I mean, they go from Robert Plant to Myles who has that post-grunge sound - it just doesn't work for me.

Well, just be happy that they aren't trying to pass it off as Led Zeppelin still, like some of the other legendary bands that have recently gotten new singers and have kept the name
